Is it OK to be Done Peopling?

Thoughts · < 1 minute read

I think so. Be careful though…
Jesus teaches by example
It’s ok to be done peopling.

Faced with a mob closing in,
Jesus dials down the urgency,
moves from the big crowd and
toward his chosen ones:

He said to them,
“Come with me by yourselves to
a quiet place and
get some rest.
” Mark 6:31

and they rowed
Away
From
the crowd.

Away from the crowd who
needed healing
needed hope
needed to hear the gospel…

Jesus left them on the shore
rowed away and
            took time with His Twelve.

Sometimes we need to
get in a boat,
and row away with Jesus.

Be careful…
you’re not leaving because you
need less people
you need more Jesus.

Get away with Him NOT
from them.
Leave with Jesus so you can
love them better
when you get back.

Sometimes we need to get in a boat, and row away with Jesus.
Jesus feeding the 5000 doesn’t seem like a lesson in being “done peopling” – but it is. Listen to the message here.

As always, I appreciate your thoughts and comments.
