Dwelling Richly: Philippians Bible Study

This is the faith-building study you’ve been craving. Bible study for women, men, youth. Open to all who want more of God. Verse-by-verse through Philippians in 5 interactive lessons for group or private study.

What’s this Study About?

Philippians—Paul’s letter from prison, overflowing with joy, wisdom, and unwavering truth. In this Dwelling Richly study, we’ll journey through his Spirit-inspired words to the church in Philippi and discover a gospel-centered vision for a life marked by humility, unity, and Christ-centered confidence. Whether you’re new to Bible study or seasoned in the Word, this study will guide you into deeper understanding, richer worship, and wholehearted devotion to Jesus.

Where We’ve Been

Last spring, we stood shoulder to shoulder with Joshua and the people of Israel, hearing God’s call to be Strong & Courageous as they stepped into the unknown. We watched the faithfulness of God unfold across promised land territory, and we were reminded that the strength and courage we need for each day comes from trusting Him completely.

Where We’re Going

Now, we turn the page…several actually in the flow of the Bible. It’s centuries later in the biblical story and we find ourselves in a Roman prison cell. Paul, once a zealous persecutor, now an apostle of Christ, writes to his beloved friends in Philippi. His circumstances? Dark and uncertain. His outlook? Radiant with joy. His message? Steady.

If Joshua taught us how to take ground, Philippians teaches us how to stand firm.

And in a world that feels increasingly chaotic with headlines that unsettle us and distractions exhaust us…our hearts often struggle to stay grounded. This is right where Paul’s letter meets us. Philippians quietly and powerfully reminds us: you can rejoice, and you can stand firm, not because Christ is your strength in a life that is not easy. This is a message you need today – for your own heart and for the hearts of those you love. You’ll be equipped to know these truths and share them with others in this study.

Is this you? If so, you’ll want to be in this Bible study…

  • Are you longing for a deeper, more lasting joy – joy that remains steady even in hard seasons?
  • Do you want to learn how to think like Jesus, with a mindset marked by humility and hope?
  • Are you craving the kind of peace that steadies your heart when anxiety creeps in?
  • Do you feel stuck in the past and need help pressing forward in faith?
  • Are you weary of constant comparison and ready to reclaim contentment in Christ?
  • Do you want to live like a true citizen of heaven, even while navigating the messiness of life on earth?

If any of that speaks to you then this study is for you. Come open your Bible, take a deep breath, and make space for God to speak through His Word. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just bring your questions, your desire to grow, and a willingness to let Christ shape your heart. We’ll walk through Philippians together, and I believe you’ll come away not just informed, but transformed—joyful and steady, rooted in Him.

My Hope and Mission

As always, I write the Dwelling Richly studies with a desire that we wouldn’t just “do” Bible study but would truly “let the Word of Christ dwell” in us richly. No matter where you are in this season of life, you will find this study will help you grow in your faith and guide you in developing good habits as a maturing follower of Jesus Christ.
