Discipleship

Grow as a Disciple. Walk with a Mentor. Learn to Disciple Others.

At Dwelling Richly, discipleship begins with God’s Word. Rooted in Colossians 3:16, we believe lasting growth happens when Scripture dwells richly in us and is lived out in faithful, connected relationships.

What Is Discipleship?

Discipleship is the intentional process of growing in Christ through Scripture, prayer, obedience, and faithful relationships. The heart of Dwelling Richly is rooted in discipleship. Jesus commanded: “Go therefore and make disciples…” Matthew 28:19
Discipleship is not optional for believers. It is the call of every Christian to grow and to help others grow. At Dwelling Richly, discipleship means:

  • Learning to love God with heart, soul, mind, and strength
  • Studying Scripture deeply and applying it faithfully
  • Walking in encouragement, accountability, and grace
  • Multiplying what God has taught you into the life of someone else

How It Works at Dwelling Richly

We connect women in intentional, Word-centered mentor relationships.

If You Want to Be Discipled:

You’ll be paired with a Dwelling Richly mentor who will:

  • Meet with you regularly
  • Study Scripture together
  • Encourage spiritual disciplines
  • Pray with and for you
  • Help you grow in biblical confidence and obedience

It is biblical formation rooted in truth and grace.

If You Want to Become a Mentor:

We will:

  • Equip you in sound doctrine
  • Train you in how to study and teach Scripture faithfully
  • Guide you in shepherding with wisdom and humility
  • Support you as you disciple others

You don’t have to be a “Bible expert.” You simply need to be willing to grow and to invest in others.

Paul told Timothy: “What you have heard from me… entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2

That is the vision. Faithful people. Entrusting truth. Multiplying disciples.

Why Word-Centered Discipleship Matters

Programs don’t mature believers. God’s Word does. When Scripture dwells richly in us, it shapes:

  • How we think
  • How we respond
  • How we endure
  • How we love
  • How we lead
