At Dwelling Richly, our mission is simple:
Discipling believers to love God with heart, soul, mind, and strength
by letting the Word of Christ dwell in them richly. (Deut. 6:4-5; Col. 3:16)
The goal is to cultivate women who can reproduce the culture of biblical discipleship wherever God sends them.
We want to equip women in their homes, communities, and churches to know, love, and live the Word.
Cultivating a Culture
Dwelling Richly is Bible study, but more. It’s a pathway for you to learn, grow, love and live out God’s Word.
My heart leading and sharing Dwelling Richly is for you to explore, belong, and multiply. We are excited because we believe God is really doing something beyond what we can imagine and we want to share that mission with you! We want to:
- support the local church grow their church family
- equip you to connect in your community (family, friends, workplace, neighborhood, etc.)
- grow a ministry that just keeps duplicating the mission.
We don’t want you just completing a Bible study. Everything we create: Bible studies, podcasts, Grace Groups, events, discipleship training, and online resources exists to help people know, love, and live God’s Word.
Pursuing a Different Goal…
Many ministries offer a Bible study. You may have attended one or bought a study. We aren’t simply working through a workbook together. We’re learning to think biblically, pray faithfully, encourage one another, and help other people follow Christ – and the Dwelling Richly approach is intentional in making this happen.
We’re learning to let God’s Word shape the way we live together. That happens in three distinct ways:

Be discipled as you learn to love God with heart, soul, mind, and strength. Attend “Follow Me” – a workshop series that equips you to know, love, and live the Word in personal and practical ways. We offer the workshop series in person several times a year and the recorded sessions are available for review.

Help someone else begin the same journey. Once you’ve attended a Bible study and the “Follow Me” workshop you may be excited to join the Dwelling Richly team as a Discipleship Mentor. Some women will go on to become:
- Grace Group Discipleship mentors: lead a group through a Dwelling Richly Bible study; helping cultivate new communities where God’s Word dwells richly and disciples make disciples.
- Dwelling Richly Teaching Leader: teach workshops, retreats, training others
- Mentor Other Mentors: train others to become Grace Group mentors
Paul wrote to Timothy about this, and it’s exactly what we are excited to live out: “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” (2 Tim. 2:2)
Grace Groups are where we meet for Bible study but so much more. They are communities of women growing together as disciples of Jesus. Grace Groups provide a place to learn, ask questions, work through your thoughts and understanding, encourage and pray for one another.
We come together with our Bibles and the Bible study, but the study is a tool. The group isn’t centered on the study, a leader, the discussion, or even on finishing the lesson. The group is centered on letting the Word of Christ dwell richly among us.
We’re intentionally cultivating a culture of biblical discipleship. That means you’ll find women who are learning to obey God’s Word and live that out faithfully…
- Keep God’s Word at the center. Scripture—not personal opinion, popular voices, or tradition—is our final authority.
- Think biblically. We encourage everyone to wrestle personally with God’s Word, trusting the Holy Spirit to teach us as we study carefully and thoughtfully.
- Grow together with grace. Questions are welcomed. No one has everything figured out, and every woman is learning.
- Pursue truth with humility. We hold firmly to the essential truths of the Christian faith while extending grace in areas where faithful believers may disagree.
- Encourage rather than impress. Whether you’ve completed every lesson or none at all, you’ll be welcomed, encouraged, and invited to keep growing. We say, “Done or not done, come!” Be present.
- Pray faithfully. We celebrate God’s faithfulness, bear one another’s burdens, and continually bring one another before the Lord.
- Live what we learn. Our goal isn’t simply to finish another Bible study. It’s to become women whose lives are transformed by God’s Word and who help others follow Christ.
- We don’t settle for sin and call it “lifestyle.” We are relaxed and welcoming, not legalistic, but we are firm and steadfast in God’s call for holiness and obedience aligned with exactly what His Word has said.
Yes. We see quick and amazing changes, but we see secure and firm growth over time. So, we are inviting women like you who want more than a place to check “Christian” off their list. A woman who join this mission can be described like this: She…
- …opens her Bible with confidence rather than intimidation
- …asks thoughtful questions.
- …prays with greater biblical depth.
- …confidently responds to today’s questions with biblical wisdom, truth, and grace.
- …disciples others.
- …serves her local church with humility and wisdom.
- …knows how to keep growing long after the workbook is finished.
- …loves and trusts God more deeply.
How is Dwelling Richly distinct?
- We have fun. We laugh, play, create, share, make mistakes, grow, and find delight in our relationship with God and one another
- We go to the Word to know God first and then we know ourselves and can engage well in this world.
- We know God makes us different by personality, learning types, gifting and more, so we celebrate and grow in all these ways – the Bible study is written with unique learning styles in mind.
- We are relaxed, not legalistic – there’s room for the whole body of Christ here
- It’s never going to be about finishing a Bible study workbook. It’s always going to be about making disciples.
This takes time. One season in a Dwelling Richly Bible study, one helping to lead while being discipled, one leading with support and helping others start a Grace Group.
