Big Problems? Bigger God. Or is that just something other Christians believe?

Thoughts · 2 minute read

Big hurt? Big worry? Big trouble? Too bad you don’t know anyone who can help with that and all you can do is worry or vent with a friend or just spin in your dilemma.

Ha. Ok. C’mon, friends! Let’s get this going. We literally have direct access to the Creator of the universe who is not only capable but has expressly made Himself available to move on your behalf.

Are you overwhelmed? Out of energy? Constantly worried? Why the heck for? What on earth good is that doing? Is your faith in God true or are you just wearing the “I’m a Christian” nametag? Let’s get real, people…we must, must, must stop worrying and start praying. And I’m talking about strong, say it like you mean it, real, hardcore, crying out to God, prayer!

Pray to the one who…

“…is able to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20
“…is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance.” 2 Corinthians 9:8
“…is able even to subdue all things to Himself.” Philippians 3:21

Go to the one who is able. God is more than able and even better…more than willing to lovingly hear and answer your prayer.

When you are at the end of your energy, hope, resources get that issue into Jesus’ hands who always lives to intercede on your behalf.

You have direct access to a loving Father, a faithful brother, and a powerful Spirit that will move on your behalf. Pray first. Worry never.

Also – surround yourself with strong friends who will…

…call on the Lord on your behalf
…who will call you out if you are worrying instead of praying
…who will call on you to see if you’re ok and
…who will call for pizza and a margarita when you need some time to chill.

Yes, gather those kinds of friends and be that friend too. Don’t entertain the worry in your own brain and don’t absorb it from others either. Listen. Hear. Be there for one another and for the love of God – and I mean that in the strongest most literal sense possible – for. the. love. of. God – PRAY.

Own it. Your faith…that you believe what you say you believe – live like it. Be bold. Enter in with confidence and know that you are being heard.

Take a deep breath. Reset your thinking with worship and get praying now.

Was this helpful? Get you thinking a little? I’d love to hear from you. Leave a comment below and share this post with that prayer and pizza friend.

Would you like prayer? I will pray for you! Send me a note (scroll down or click here for the form) and I will absolutely be praying for you.

I created this worship playlist for prayer. Follow it on Spotify or just listen here:

Thank you for reminding me to go to God first. I need not worry because He has everything covered. I do have many Pizza and Prayer friends. Friends and their prayer groups have been carrying me in prayer during my current journey.
I hope I have also been a blessing to them.
God Bless You Jennifer and I enjoy your Blog.
