Your Dwelling Richly Journey
We all begin as participants in a Grace Group. As we grow in God’s Word and in community, some are called to serve as Hosts, opening their homes for others. Others are called to become Mentors, discipling women through God’s Word. Our desire is not that everyone become a leader, but that everyone become a disciple who is ready to serve wherever God leads.
Read below about becoming a Host or Mentor with Dwelling Richly…
A Grace Group Host provides a welcoming place where biblical community can flourish.
Hosts are followers of Jesus who affirm the Dwelling Richly Statement of Faith and joyfully offer their home—or another suitable gathering place—for a Grace Group to meet. While the Mentor leads the discussion and disciples the group, the Host creates an environment where women feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for.
A Host’s ministry is one of hospitality, encouragement, and partnership. By opening a door, she opens the opportunity for God’s Word to transform lives.
Qualifications
- A follower of Jesus Christ.
- In agreement with the Dwelling Richly Statement of Faith.
- Willing to provide a welcoming and appropriate meeting location.
- Committed to supporting the Mentor and helping foster a gracious, Christ-centered atmosphere.
- Able to communicate with the Mentor regarding meeting logistics and group needs.
A Grace Group Mentor serves as a spiritual leader who helps women grow in their love for God, His Word, and one another.
Mentors meet all the qualifications of a Grace Group Host while also embracing the responsibility of guiding discussion, encouraging spiritual growth, and helping cultivate a healthy, grace-filled community centered on Scripture.
Because Mentors represent the heart and teaching ministry of Dwelling Richly, they are expected to affirm both the Dwelling Richly Statement of Faith and the biblical standards for holy living taught throughout Scripture. They should be women whose lives demonstrate a growing love for Christ, humility, teachability, and a desire to make disciples.
Every Grace Group Mentor completes the Dwelling Richly mentor training process and has been personally discipled and equipped for this ministry by Jennifer Richmond or another approved Dwelling Richly trainer.
