Genesis: Lost & Found

There is no more significant verse in the Bible than the first four: “In the beginning God…” From there all else is defined and all questions have their answers: Who am I? What is my purpose in life? How can know what is right? wrong? true? Genesis is the beginnings of everything – including the greatest thing: God’s great love for His creation – you.

Watch or Listen to the Bible study lessons and messages HERE. Scroll down to see resources and download lessons.

Genesis begins, as John Milton so famously described, with Paradise Lost. It opens in chaos and a garden brought into order. From there Eden, relationships, peace, wholeness are lost. Genesis is the account of that loss but more so of “the found” – How God reached and made a way for what was lost to be found.

We meet in person or online every other week September 2021-April 2022.
Study groups are offered: Tuesdays 9am or 6pm, Wednesdays 6pm

Excited to begin? Can’t wait for the next lesson? Here’s a list of resources to enrich your studies through Genesis:

  • Bible Project Old Testament — I love all things “Bible Project” Their resources are wonderfully helpful. Check out this great overview of Genesis and look around their channel for more wonderful videos. You should also check out their website – fabulous resource!
  • Reasonable Faith with Dr. William Lane Craig – again, another resource I cannot recommend more highly!
  • The Abide Bible Journal with Genesis – Get the NET version and enjoy the quiet time journaling through Genesis with simple prompts to encourage thoughtful engagement
  • I have a complete list on Amazon of several resources for the Genesis study as well as Bible study in general. If you don’t shop on Amazon, you can view the list and purchase elsewhere. The Dwelling Richly list on Amazon
