Thank you, Veterans

Thoughts · < 1 minute read

The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him,
but because he loves what is behind him.

-GK Chesteron

You didn’t have to, but you did. You answered the call in your own heart and said, yes.

Thank you. Thank you for all you went through – the days it was much harder than you ever expected and even the days it was more tedious.

You went. You gave. You served a high calling and a great nation. You sacrificed for people who were grateful and for those who were ungrateful – even antagonistic.

G.K. Chesterton said, “The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.” We are thankful that you did. Love is the highest calling and you answered it for us all. You deserve our honor and our thanks and today we do just that.
