When You Feel Sad

Listen to this blog post.

Remember what is true…
God does love you.
This is hard – but it’s not final.
You don’t have to do everything.
You don’t even have to do anything.
You can breathe. You can wait.
You can know that you are just doing the best you can.

Remember what is true…
God sees you. Hears you.
You don’t have to see or hear Him to know this.
You can trust and let the weight be shared by those
who love you and they will share
in praying, serving, just being there and sitting with you
That’s how God reaches you in these times.

Remember what is true…
God will only whisper peace and strength and reminders of His love
and any other voices you hear that weigh you down,
make you feel less – hopeless, careless, useless –
are not from your Heavenly Father – ignore them and…

Remember what is true…
whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right,
whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable
if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.


When you need help try this…

  • Listen to worship music – Here’s a great playlist on Spotify
  • Read Psalm 61
  • Text a friend – sometimes it’s hard to speak, a text for prayer is simple and you’ll know you’re being prayed for
  • Message me – I will pray with you and for you
